When to Book Your Honeymoon, and What It Really Costs

Plan the honeymoon at least six months out, six to eight for the best pricing: destination, budget, lodging, and passports first. Flights run on their own clock, and the airfare data does not agree with itself. Domestic fares are put cheapest anywhere from about two weeks to three months before departure, international from about ten days to eight months, and peak season stretches both. There is no useful average cost; the total is five categories (getting there, sleeping, eating, doing, protecting the trip), and destination, season, trip length, and lodging class move it more than anything else.
