Affiliate links

Bejoined plans to earn money through affiliate links: links where we may earn a commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. As of July 2026, no affiliate links are live on the site yet. When they are, two things will always be true:

• Any article containing affiliate links carries a disclosure notice at the top.
• The site footer notes that links may be affiliate links, on every page.

Sponsored content

Bejoined also plans to publish sponsored posts and sponsored vendor features. Our Joined By vendor features (Ask the Vendor, The Visit, and The Panel) are free for the businesses that appear in them; any future sponsored feature will be a separate, clearly labeled format. Nothing sponsored is live yet. When it is, sponsored content will be labeled as sponsored where you can see it, on the page itself, every time. Every Visit states plainly whether it was independent, hosted, or comped; Visits themselves are never sponsored.

What money does not buy

The editorial rule: payment never buys a positive verdict. A sponsor can buy placement and labeling says so; a sponsor cannot buy what we conclude about costs, fit, or whether something is worth it. If that rule ever creates a conflict with a sponsor, the verdict wins.
